Eardisland – May BH 2012

Out first proper trip of 2012 and we’d planned to stay at a pub near Leominster which has a camping field behind.
We stopped at the services near Shrewsbury but parking wasn’t easy with the trailer:
When we got to The Barons Cross we didn’t fancy the look of it so drove on towards Builth Wells, where Alison wanted to go to the International Antques Fair.
We stopped in a small village called Eardisland to look in the guide for a site and found one right there in the village! The Arrow Bank Holiday Park had great facilities and a couple of fields where Boris could run free.
The village has a couple of pubs so we’d fallen on our feet.
On Saturday we drove to Builth to the Antiques Fair which was massive – they were even filming an episode of Bargain Hunt whilst we were there.
We were there for 4 hours but didn’t buy anything – it was flippin’ cold on the outside stalls but an interesting day – not sure we’d go again but you never know.
Eardisland is a real chocolate box type village on the Black & White Trail with some lovely buildings.
